Looking to You

But my eyes are toward you, O God, my Lord;

in you I seek refuge; leave me not defenseless!

Psalm 141:8

Looking to You, Lord...

Only to You.

Where else can I go

to find strength to get through?

It is hard sometimes

to make the choice

to live as I ought to...

I must hear Your voice.

So much looks to capture

my attention,

but I must look to You, Lord

for my direction.

The reward of such seeking

is wisdom from You

that leads me to obey

what You want me to do.

Seeking Your Word

to show me Your way,

I’ll trust confidently

as You lead me today.

Looking to You, Lord...

Only to You.

I have found what I need

by looking to You.
