seek counsel to be wise

By insolence comes nothing but strife,

but with those who take advice is wisdom.

Proud thoughts will keep me quiet

stumbling all

alone

What I need now is wisdom

illuminating words

shone

If I do not seek advice

disappointing mental

strife

But in good counsel

rejoicing spiritual

life

Proud, but with nothing

only personal

pain

Humbled, with wisdom’s direction

always tremendous

gain

Insolent prideful heart!

Willing seeking heart!
