Turned Away

For our fathers have been unfaithful and have done what was evil in the sight of the LORD our God. They have forsaken him and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD and turned their backs.

Close to God

Worshiping only Him

In His presence

Calling on His name

Israel trusted

and was saved

Compared to God

Admiring those idols

Looking at the nations

Forgetting God’s Word

Israel faltered

and then fell

Far from God

Worshiping false idols

His presence gone

His name rejected

His law broken

Israel was evil

and was judged

Back to God

Worshiping their Deliverer

Cleaning up His temple

Revering God’s Holy name

Israel repented

and was blessed
