It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
Hebrews 12:7
A loving Father’s hand
administers discipline
so I might understand
how to live as His son.
Though not easy to accept
this kind of family love
is not what I expect
as I receive trouble from above.
But my Father cares
that I mature and grow
so no discipline is spared
as His concern I know.
A loving Father’s hand
brings me good discipline
and now I understand
I can live more like His Son.
