Now these, the singers, the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, were in the chambers of the temple free from other service, for they were on duty day and night.

At Your temple
in ancient days
set aside at all times
ready to sing Your praise
were Levites
whose sole occupation
was singing Your adoration
Ready to sing
at any moment
day or night
the need was met
in song
joyous celebration
from your praising nation
And even today
ready to praise
are Your children
whose voices raise
in wonder
at gospel salvation
Jesus is our adoration
