Sojourner

I am a sojourner on the earth;

hide not your commandments from me!

Psalm 119:19

I’m on a temporary journey here

This life I live is not the end

I’ve got nothing from death to fear

Because I’m going to live with my Friend

On this earth I’m temporary

Eternity is where I’ll live always

So truth from God is necessary

To help me thrive in sojourner days

Just a short time is what I have

To prepare for my eternal home

So I’ll give to Jesus all I have

As I camp out here on earth to roam

I need His word to show the way

As I live expatriate from heaven

I’ll trust Jesus, read, share, and pray

Until my final home with Him is given
